Residential Energy Efficiency for Low Income Households (REELIH)

This project aims to improve residential energy efficiency while lowering energy consumption and costs for low-income households. Since the launch of the project, 13 buildings were energy upgraded and 679 families were served. The energy efficiency  improvement works in the buildings included installment and / or energy insulation of windows and entrance doors, upgrade of lighting system and insulation of basements.

Within the scope of REELIH project Habitat Armenia actively works with local authorities, financial institutions, HOAs, tenants and other key stakeholders in order to promote and improve energy efficiency in residential buildings. The project activities include implementation of energy upgrades of residential buildings, enhancing institutional capacities of HOAs, raising awareness of tenants and HOAs about the multiple benefits of EE measures implementation in the buildings, advocating to implement institutional and legislative reforms that will contribute to efficient management and maintenance of residential housing stock in the country and stimulate energy efficient investments in residential sector.
