TITLE:  Accountant
TERM:  Full-time
DURATION:  Long term, with 3 months of probation period.
LOCATION:  Yerevan, Armenia
JOB DESCRIPTION:  We are looking for a skilled Accountant for Habitat Armenia`s Restore Resource Hub to perform the accounting (including retail accounting), bookkeeping and other financial tasks.  
The Accountant for ReStore Project will report to the Project Manager and to the Finance and Administrative Manager

-Daily record/input financial transactions into accounting software and ensure accurate and appropriate recording
- Reconcile accounts in a timely manner
- Maintain assets/stock registers in the accounting system,
- Prepare payment orders for online bank transactions and record them accordingly

- Maintain accurate cash transaction register on daily bases

- Ensure accuracy of all accounting documentation including that appropriate authorization and documentation is obtained for all expenditures prior to processing payments
- Ensure accuracy filing of all accounting documentation,
- Maintain internal control documentation
- Analyze inventory evaluation, inventory roll forward
- Review and analyze inventory and margin reports, conduct research and perform analytical studies in regards to cost analyses and profitability
- Assist with cycle count physical inventory
- Prepare detailed account analysis and reconcile sales, cost and inventory, liability accounts by customer
- Coordinate with IT department for system issues
- Provide assistance to auditors (internal and external)
- Ensure timely submission, accuracy and validity of inventory, gross margin schedules to management
- Provide assistance and support to Recourse Hub personnel
- Prepare payroll each month.
- Calculate, prepare and transfer all required state taxes and other obligations

- Conduct regular warehouse/ inventory control

- Prepare and submit all required financial documents and reports (on weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual bases and upon any request) to Habitat for Humanity Armenia’s Finance and Administrative Manager (FAM) and state authorities (including tax agency)

- Adhere to the policies and procedures set by Habitat for Humanity Armenia, follow the accounting standards and norms, as well as the applicable tax laws and regulations
-Fulfill work related other duties
- Work as part of Habitat Armenia team to reach strategic targets, ensuring that all activity complies with Company ethos, policies and procedures
- University degree in Accounting or Finance;
- At least 3 years of professional experience in retail accounting and finance;
- Proficient knowledge of accounting software (1C, Armenian software);
- Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems
- Practical knowledge of RA Tax and Labor legislation
- Working experience with HSBCNet is an advantage,
 -Strong analytical and time management skill
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, internally and externally, with groups and individuals, and the ability to verbally convey Habitat for Humanity's work with confidence and credibility;
-Ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with supervisors, co-workers, clients, suppliers, government officials, etc.
-High sense of responsibility and attention to details and accuracy;
- Strong computer skills and experience in using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook;
- Excellent written and verbal skills in Armenian

- Person committed to the vision and mission of Habitat for Humanity Armenia and a working style that reflects these.

- Knowledge of IFRS
- Working knowledge of English or Russian languages is an advantage
- Experience in working within construction materials and/or furniture production
- Experience in working with volunteers

ABOUT:  Within the Project Habitat for Humanity Armenia will start operating a ReStore Resource Hub aimed at improving low and middle income families living conditions by providing them access to low-cost household solutions, furniture and building materials - new and used, remodeled and refurbished. The project is funded by European Union. Through Housing Support Services anyone interested can get practical and technical tips on construction and refurbishments on home improvements and energy efficiency upgrades. The Project will provide opportunities for volunteers of different abilities and backgrounds to improve their capabilities and to increase their market employment opportunities.
